Hearsts - Sheet Music

I picked this piece up on July 13th,2013. It is sheet music titled Hearts. The words were written by Ballard Macdonald and the music was arranged by Robert A. King. The copyright is 1919. There is quiet a few bends and scratches but the only large defining damage is a rip that goes through both pages on the right but it is rather small. (Picture 1) The back cover is also really pretty and you pretty much could choose a side to display/frame. (Pictures 2&3) It is in pretty good shape for almost 100 years old. It would look great hanging on a while or used as sheet music itself.

Trade Winds - Sheet Music

I also picked this piece up on July 13th, 2013. It is called Trade Winds. It was written by Cliff Friend and Charlie Tobias. The copyright is 1940. It's beautiful. There is really no damage except one or two folds. The edges are a little rough but it's paper. On the cover it says it was featured by Yvette. I couldn't find her anywhere. It kind of looks like Yvette Mimieux but I'm not sure. This piece was sung by some of the greats such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. I found some recordings of them actually singing Trade Winds. If you have time check them out they are really good.

Keep in mind it is a giant piece of paper folded in half with a disconnected page in the middle. It would look great hanging on a wall in a frame or used as sheet music itself.

The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down - Sheet Music

I bought a whole bunch more sheet music today. (July 13th, 2013) This one seemed familiar in a way so I picked it up. It is called The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down. The words and music are by Cliff Friend and Dave Franklin. They also wrote When My Dream Boat Comes Home. The copyright is 1937. Probably the coolest thing about it is the fact that it was used on Looney Tunes from 1937-1969. I found a bunch of videos that show what it sounds like and one example of when it was used on Looney Tunes. If you get a chance check them out.

There is no "major" damage but there is quite a few scratches and bends. Other then that it is perfect. The middle page is not attached and is loose. There are no staple marks or anything on the middle page. It would look great hanging on the wall in a frame or as sheet music itself.

Listen Lester - Sheet Music

I bought this sheet music also on April 18th, 2013. It is called Listen Lester. Unlike the other sheet music I bought it has a loose page on the inside. (Pictures 2 & 3) I'm not exactly sure who its by since it says like 4 different people on the front. It was published in 1918 making it almost 100. It's got rips and stuff but it has a lot of character. It would look great framed on a wall or used as sheet music itself.

Here is another piece of sheet music I picked up April 18th, 2013. It is called Mister Butterfly. The words were written by Ballard Macdonald and the music was written by Leo Edwards. It was printed and published in 1917 making it almost 100 years old. It was published by Shapiro Bernstein & Co. in NY. You can see the logo printed on the cover of the music in pictures 5 and 2. The one thing different about this piece is that someone wrote their name and address in the top left corner of the cover. (Picture 4) I can't exactly tell what it says but it adds some character. It is one big piece of paper folded in half so no lose sheets. This one is one of my favorites. The cover is just beautiful. It is larger than the others and to me is more special. It has bends, folds and rips but it has so much character. It would look great framed on a wall or used as sheet music itself.

I picked up a whole bunch of sheet music on April 18th, 2013 and this is another piece. It's called I Want My Old Girl Back. The words and music were written by E. Sutton and Earl Burtnett. The copyright is 1918 making it almost 100 years old. It is one giant piece of paper folded in half so there are no lose papers. The cover is blurry but it's just the style it was painted in. It does have some rips and scratches but it gives it character and is in pretty good shape since it is almost 100. It's really pretty and would look good framed on a wall or used as sheet music itself.

Turnbridge Tavern Ceramic Box

This is a ceramic box that has a Turnbridge Tavern logo on it. It is probably a reproduction and is not worth too much but it is a cool piece. The only color and writing appears on the top of the box. It is 3 inches tall and 3 and a half to 4 inches wide depending on where you measure it. It is a rounded square shape.

Just For Me And Mary ('Twas A Beautiful Wedding Day) Sheet Music

I picked a whole bunch of old sheet music like this up on April 18th, 2013. This one was my favorite. It's called Just For Me And Mary ('Twas A Beautiful Wedding Day). The words were written by Grant Clarke and Howard E. Rodgers. The music was written by Leo Edwards. It was printed in 1919 making it almost 100 years old. It came a long way. It was printed by the McCarthy & Fisher (INC) Music Publishers. There company was on 224 W. 46th St in New York. The one thing I found very interesting was the fact that it was stamped "Gimmel Music House 14 E. San Antonio St. San Jose ....." But you can't see the rest. You can see this in picture 3. Another cool thing about it is that in the bottom right corner of the cover it says "This Number is to be has on all...." then it continues with " Phonograph Records and Music Rolls" ....."Ask Your Dealer." I assume it once had a record on music roll but it's long gone. It doesn't have separate sheets of music only the ones you see on picture 4. It is one big piece of paper folded in half. You can see the back cover in picture four has some  music on it to another song that you could probably get with it. Now it has some damage some spots you can see in picture 4 towards the bottom and it's rough. It has some rips and scratches but I think that gives it character. It would be a cool piece to frame and hand up or use the music itself.

Open Front Buggy Plate

I found this on March 16th, 2013. It's about 4 and a half inches so it's pretty smalll. I looked online and found a few similar. They all had the same picture in the middle but they were different shapes and some had different edges. The one I have for sale above is the only one I found in this shape with this outline pattern. It's a cool little decorative piece. Otherwise I'm sure you can use it to eat off but it won't hold much food. It was probably made in the mid to late 1900s.
